I was just wondering if it's normal to hear a little
crackel, pop coming from my mufflers when I let go
of the throttle rather fast?? Sometimes it does and sometimes it
doesn't. I guess depending on how fast I let go of
the throttle. I have a 2005 Deuce carburated with SEII's
and the Arlen Big Sucker. My rejet was a 48 low with
a 195 main.
I have SE2s, SE high flow air cleaner kit and carb rejet, and I get the crackling/popping, and occasional KABOOM when decelerating with the clutch engaged. It's really funny when I am going past someone walking on the sidewalk and the KABOOM happens... I've seen people dive for cover! [sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]
So far everyone I've talked to about it says it's normal.
Thanks there fellow Canuck.
Not that I'm complaning cause you're right it those sound
pretty cool when it cracks and pop's. But I'm glad to hear that
it's normal. I was thinking that it could have been my rejet but
the bike rides great.
I think there's a problem with the carbureted bikes. There seems to be a pattern with coughing, popping, cutting out, and carbureted bikes. Many people have said that rejetting has helped the problem "somewhat", but hasn't solved it completely. I'll going to try to find a solution or answers and keep you posted.
