Default Harley Fatboy Passenger Peg question

Hey I own a 2006 fatboy. I recently placed passenger pegs on my bike. the only problem I'm having is whenever I ride the clutch side peg come down. I tried tilting the pegs back but now both pegs come down. Does anybody have a trick from keeping them from coming down or should I just deal with it thanks.

Theres a clip that goes between the mount that keeps them from falling. Did you put that clip in?

Yeah it's a rusty looking clip. They keep coming down due to the vibration from the bike.

They are made of spring steel. You might have to get new ones if they don't have the arch in them that keeps them from letting the pegs flop. You can try to put a bend in them, but I suspect it won't be easy.

The clip should have a curve to it causing tension, probably could curve it a bit more by crimping if things have loosened up.

If you did put it the spring clips, are they Harley one or aftermarket? I have found that many of the aftermarket clips are thinner and don't enough arch to maintain adequate friction on the peg.

When i put aftermaket pegs on the rear (they are much heavier than stock) mine would fall down aswell. Just put the clip in a vise and give it a little bend with plyers no more loose pegs.
