before you decide where to cut your factory harness to add to it...
think about where your cuts will end up inside bars...having joints right in a bend SUCKS....cut carefully for the joints end up in the flat spot of the bars.
stagger your joints....and get some expandable sleeving from a radio shack or frys as it slides through bars like butter with wires inside..
also i got some clear wire pull lube from home depot and it helped a lot.
I'm ordering my crap now for an "off season" install because if I screw something up then I'll be down for a few weeks while the parts come from the States. So, I'll have no pressure and a few months. The riding season is only about 6 or 7 good months for me here anyway.
As soon as the namz extensions come in I'll be good to go.. went ahead and ordered the 2011 fsm too.. it's been shipped.. not sure about the extensions..
the rest was delivered today from drew... their packing is awesome by the way.. no way anything would have gotten damaged in shipment..
i used a kit from dennis kirk it was like 80 bucks or so but it had all chrome switches and about 4 ft of wires all color coated and covered with the heavy black outer cover just cut to the size you need i was able to make all my connections outside the bars just incase i ever have a connection issue all i have to do is lift the tank
