Default Keeping Cooling Fins Shiny??

Just wondering how you Guys keep the ends of your cooling fins shiny? My Fatboy is only a few months old and I see oxidation starting on the cooling fins where they were machined off and are shiny. Can't exactly polish them because of the flat black paint and areas where I can't reach. I live in a very humid area and do the best I can to keep the bike out of it. Thanks for any help!

I just use a good cleaner like S100 every once in awhile and also brush that area with a paing brush while the cleaner is on there.

scotchbrite on the sides work very well to remove the oxidation, use a fine grit, and do a bunch of fins at the same time, don't try to do one, you'll get on the powdercoat, and take it off.

I enjoy cleaning my bike almost as much as riding it. I do like it to look good all the time. I'll drink three or four beers cleaning it up, look at it for awhile, then put it away till the next day before I ride. The scotchbright idea sounds like something that would work on those fins for sure. Good suggestion.

Scotchbrite pads.If you are really picky you can start with the course and work your way down to the finer pads if you want more luster.Keep off painted and plated items.
