Default wheel/tire question?

I'd like to put a 40 spoke (like the stock) 21 inch wheel on an 06 Heritage. Do I need a 3.5 rim and can I use a 120/70x21 tire on it? I'm new to this stuff so bear with me. Is this pretty much a bolt on/off process also?
Thanks for the help, Jeff

You don't need to put a 3.5 with a 120 tire. You could run a 2.15 rim with a 90/21 or a 3" rim with a 120. But, the wider the rim and tire the better handling you are going to get.

I bought a 40 spoke 21 from Ride Wright. Mines a 3" wide. Right now I am running a 90/90 metz on it with a tube since there is no 120/21 in a WW. I am contemplating going back to black walls though and putting a 120 on the front when it's time to replace the rear tire I have now.

Thanks Drew,
So I can go either 3.0 or 3.5 with that tire (120). I'll look into both.
Thanks
