actually dont be surprised that some the 12s are water cooled it would start with the touring bikes, the radiators are mounted in the lower fairings on the crash bars. They also arent really water cooled, there is just one jacket around the exhaust port and valve. Probably be real easy to just cut it out and throw a set of early heads back on it.
Well we will all find out after the dealers meeting next month
I like my Fatboy Softail, but I'm glad I got my CVO Road Glide for the long trips. There really is a difference. If you afford it, it's best to keep your herritage too!
If you like your Heritage.. but like the looks, fairing, and luggage of the Road Glide
do what I did to my Night Train.. got the BEST of both... a Road Train.
A friend of mine recently got a CVO RoadGlide and offered me a ride on it the first day I saw it. I had to decline as I knew I would be hellbent on figuring out a way to get one. My rule of thumb is if I can't keep my fatboy...I am not getting another bike. As you have guessed, I can't keep my fatboy and get another bike right now. But, this thread made me feel good as I have been mulling over my options for weeks trying to work out a bagger too.
The scary thing is if I did get a bagger my fatboy would not get nearly as much use as it does now. I have only seen my buddies fatboy once since he got the Road Glide. Do I really need two bikes to choose from? Hell no. Do I still want two? Hell yes.
