Default Test drove a Heritage today.

I volunteered for a MDA lock up today at the local dealer and was asked to drive women back to work on a Heritage Softail 2005 carbed n tweeked. WOW! I was pleasantly impressed, i currently own a 07 Electra glide classic and thought i wouldn't enjoy the ride as much as i did but find myself considering trading...Anybody trade from touring to softail?

I've ridden Ultra's, Road Kings and others. The softail with the balanced engine is a better ride below 60 or 65 mph. The others have their place as well. They're all nice. They just fit different situations. Of course, with the heat we're having in NC these days I'm kind of missing my water cooled Vulcan.

You bet, sold my Street Glide and got a Heritage. I have loved every minute since. Wouldn't even consider going back to a tour bike.

You guys have lost your minds! My friend has has an 02 Heritage. I've ridden it and it's not the bike that my 02 Road King Classic is! Ride a Road King with a solo Lepera Silouhette seat. Nice and low. In the bike, not on top of it.

I'm a little biased but I say trade away. You won't be disappointed!

Actually, you will feel as though you ride ON TOP of a stock Road King and you ride IN a Heritage. You can read that being described in a million places. Just don't think thats a valid argument for a King over a Heritage when the exact opposite is true. Not knocking a King at all, just stating facts. Bike is wider and has a taller seat height than the Heritage.

I went from a Low Rider to a Heritage. I love it. Loved the Low Rider for four and a half years. Two totally different bikes.
