Installing 4 1/2" pullback risers on fatboy-new cables?
I'm saving my pennies to get apes and new cables, but in the meantime I was going to grab a set of risers off ebay. Can't stand hunching ovedr to reach the stock bars, if they were 2" closer I'd be able to relax a bit. Can you install 4 1/2" risers and not replace cables/breaklines? If not, I won't bother and just keep waiting to save the $600 for wild 1's and new cables.
i put the 4 1/2 risers on my 07 without changing any cables. i did have to reroute the clutch cable so it wasn't going over the bar and i just tweaked the brake line a smidge to get the extra length i needed.. as for the wiring.. pull gently up on the harness where it exists the neck.. you'll be fine..
make sure you're getting the correct risers.. fatboy bars are 1.25 dia. most aftermarket risers i found were for the 1" dia.. bars
I put the Harley pullback risers on mine with all the stock cables. I had to have a little help and had a mechanic moved the brake line a bit. The turn signal wires are stretched to the max. Other than that no problems.

Which ones? They make a 4" and a 6". The 4" fit perfectly with no mods whatsoever on my 2010 FB. I would have preferred the 6 but heard that cables were req'd.
I installed the 4 inch pullback risers. I am so glad we put a pad on the tank with a towel taped over it. The bars slipped and would have scratched the tank.
