Default Slim Riser Swap Questions

Hey all,

I have been contemplating putting mini-apes on my Slim for a few months now. I think I have finally realized how much of a pain it would be having to change out the wires and cables to do so.

Now I am thinking about just switching out risers to bring the bars back a little bit. Without actually measuring, it appears that the stock risers are about 1" to 1.5" tall. Does anyone know how much more rise you can get before there is a need to swap out cables? Also, has anyone added pull back risers instead?

Thanks for any input!

This is something I have been contemplating as well. A fellow forum member used the Deluxe Pullback Risers Part Number 55900023. They are 4.5" tall and added 1.75" of pullback if I remember correctly, and that was with keeping stock cables. I'm still on the fence about going with these or not though.

Any idea how tall the stock risers are? They seem to be about 1" to 1.5".

I think risers with no pullback would look great. The pullback what I am leery about. More so in terms of looks rather than function.

Changing the cables is much easier than people here will lead you to believe. Also with these new bikes, the wiring connectors are small enough to pull through the bars, so that is a snap as well. If the issue is cost then I guess I can understand. Otherwise, don't compromise what you really want. Save yourself some cash and headaches and buy what you really want the first time.

I have the Harley 4.5" risers for the Slim part # 55900023 1.75" of rise and 1.5" of pull back, no cable changes needed, made the bike much more comfortable for me
