Back when this 07 was my primary bike, I traded the stock seat for these pipes....they're unbaffled, had bungs for my 02 sensors, and were unwrapped when I got them. That's as far as my knowledge goes with them. I wrapped with DEI's Titanium wrap, and rode the hell out of it up until I graduated to my Street Glide, and my DW is now the primary rider of the Softy. Here's the problem...she is having problems tolerating the heat thrown off the rear pipe (up top, by the bend), and I'm not having any luck finding an angled piece of heat shield....I'd rather use a 1 peice rather than cobbling 2 or 3 peices, and money situation precludes goin with an entirely new setup.
About the closest thing I can find that looks like my pipes is Santee's Venom pipes by BBC....
Any input from someone who's been there? Pound out my own shields? start the buy/try/return cycle (id rather not)? Any help would be much appreciated (especially if youve tried it)!
The "hot zone" is approximated by the yeller circles (such l33t ps skillz)....
Mica - Thank you, and its a darlin wife.
Hawaii - thats all ive found, other than a few angled pieces...if I exhaust this effort (no pun intended!) thats what ill be goin with...if I get a few more votes for the Santees, I might set their heat sheilds
82nd - thanks
