Default Clean way to carry a water bottle?

Morning Folks:

Wifey just got an 06 Heritage Classic. Just came off a great 4 day trip through Canada. One issue she is having is getting in enough water. She would like to get some down between stops. She doesn't do cold water due to sensitive teeth and is looking for a way to carry a water bottle that she can get to for a drink once in a while.

Anyone know of a clean/safe way to mount a water bottle within reach? I have real concerns about the whole drinking and driving thing. Any opinons or experiences with this.

Not to sound like a man pig, I know I could safely drink water all day while riding if I wanted, but I do worry more about her even though she is a solid rider. We are both new to the road for the last year so looking for input. Thanks in advance. EW

We use a camelbak, when riding.

Yea, I think that's a great idea. If she doesn't want something strapped to her back, you could mount it to the bike somehow (in a saddlebag?) and have the straw/tube reach her and clip onto her jacket - relatively hands free and safe.

I've worn a camelbak while riding before..one of the smaller compact models that holds like 2 quarts of water or soemthing like that..maybe a touch more.. although it was great to have the straw right next to my face (strapped to the backstrap on the thing), it really got uncomfortable to ride with. But yeah, if you're about to strap it to a luggage rack or even to the passenger seat or something, unthread the straw from the container and have it hooked to her belt or something where she can grab it, get a drink, and rehook it.. that's the best way. Otherwise, Harley makes cupholders that bolt right to where the horn bolts on (at least it looks that way in the picture on the box).. else, people everywhere make cupholders that mount to handlebars and stuff, and if she uses a closeable bottle (like a sport-top thing from Poland Springs)..that might work just fine for her too

well those camel things are ok, but kind of a PITA

my wife uses this and a good insulated water bottle found in any sports authority or other sports store

http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/383...bag-Cup-Holder

works great and it's easy to pull the bottle and put it back at any traffic stop because it sits directly by your hands when you are on the bike with almost any saddlebag

Does she have saddlebag guards? I've seen plenty of mounting brackets for water bottles. reach back grab the water, reach back, put it back...

Check out Captain-itch.com great solutions and good people to deal with. I just got a cupholder that attaches to the windshield of my Road King and am very happy with it.

Could also try this thing, attaches to your downtube.

Maybe you could talk her into having her teeth removed.
