I was looking at the Lo last year to be my first Harley.. Had the deal all set in place when for some reason at the last second, the salesman suggested I look at preowned bikes where many mods were already performed which I may like. I was like , "uhh, okay." I looked at Craigslist and fell in love with the Fatboy i have today... She was already lowered about 1.5" and I have been modding her ever since... I am sooo happy with the vivd black and chrome. Every time I put black on her, I make sure to dress her in a little chrome for balance.. Do I think back what coulda been with a Lo? Sure for a second until i take a look back at my fatboy!!! No disrespect to the LOs. They are my second favorite and I love their thread. They give me ideas too.
GO FATBOY!

You want to go black...so the LO is the bike for you. If you wanted to go chrome...then the original Fatboy would have been the bike. Done.

Well even if i get the FATBOY im still going to black it out it will just have chrome accents which IMO make a bike pop! But they are both the same bike so ill just have to see what one i end up with! Its going to come down to the better deal at the stealership!

I have read lot's of thread's on this forum by people who ask very similar questions and the answer i give is use YOUR imagination YOUR vibe ..... dont ask other people FEEL the emotion yourself LOOK at the bike work it out after all you own it nobody else .... bikes are personal and with many bikers the style reflects the person who owns it some though haven't got a clue and they might just as well have customized it in a cellar ...... And you dont think about the money that's too logical ......

My 2 cents as a Lo owner. I don't want to spend hours waxing and polishing gloss paint and chrome when I could be riding. The black denim and "Testor silver" is low maintenance. I get compliments on the demin paint all the time. The bike, while it looks better clean, does not show dirt and road splash anywhere near as bad as a vivid black and chrome bike would.
