Hypercharger causing MAP sensor failure
I'm riding a softail custom with a power commander v, vance and hines big radius 2 into 2 pipes, and a Kuryakyn hypercharger.
I just got my bike back from the stealer. This is the 2nd time in 2 months (only 1 month of riding) that they have had to replace the map sensor. Today when I got the bike back, they said they had to disconnect the vacumm pod from the hypercharger, because that was the root of the errors. They said they checked everything out, but for some reason it came down to that. As soon as they disconnected it, the codes went away. When I brought the bike in for it's 10k service, I was only getting 33 miles / gallon on the highway, and the ends of my pipes were getting really sooty. On the way home, it seems to be running better, but I'd still like the butterflies to work. It was the whole reason for the purchase in the first place. Does anyone have any ideas ?

I'd consider a different intake. The consensus on the forum is that it is needlessly overly complicated (I'm being cheritable, lol), and I think you are seeing why.
Personally I'm not sure why it would get more air in than a completely open intake (RSD, PM, Doherty, etc).
