Default Brake noise

My heritage makes a loud howling noise when I apply the brakes. Does anyone have a remedy for this? My mechanic says this is normal and about the only way to cure it is to put on cheap brake pads. What do you guys think?

Auto Zone brake pad lube to help stop the vibration that is causing the squealing when you apply the brakes. Back of the pads where they contact the pistons and the pins/mounting bolt shoulders that allow the caliper to center it's self need lubed.
