Default best slip ons?

I know this question can stir up a real hornets nest but anyone have any input as to the best sounding slip on mufflers for my 09 flstf? Not looking for the loudest but all around performance and nice tone. Would like louder than stock.

Best is subjective.

What what have you heard that sounds good to you?

Performance is less subjective but still personal to you, do you ride at the low, middle or high end of the RPM range?

I listened to a lot of bikes, both live and video clips on youtube, to find the tone and volume level I liked. I later found out that the one I liked was also being offered as an option in some stage I upgrade kits, and had relatively good performance characteristics.

I'd recommend going through a similar 'discovery' process to find something you'll really be happy with.

I like the Screamin Eagles. Nice tone and supposedly they are legal. Whatever you do, keep your old ones, they keep tightening the laws on exhausts.

I have Vance and Hines slip-ons with quit baffles and I love the sound. They have a deep sound to them.

Mine was for(the Look) I knew Samson had a sound that rang for me.

Find a sound you like, ask the owner, see of it fits.

I had V&H on my Sporty sounded great, but then again its all about what you like. I still need exhaust for my Heritage may do the slip on for now.

I've had the Screamin Eagle SP on my '09 FLSTF for about a year. Performance was good with a stage 1 air filter and Fuelpak. I wanted more sound so I recently put on a set of Rush slip-ons with the 1.75 baffle. So far I love them. Much deeper tone at idle but not disturbing loud. When I get on the gas I can hear the engine now so I'm happy.

Rush slip-ons sound great. I had them before I switched out my exhuast.
