I run Dunlops and avg. about 12-13K on the rear 200's and about 15K on the front.

And no, I don't run bald tires...I change the rear before I hit the wear bars, and the front will get a few K more before I change.

Ask the seller. I had to replace the stock rear dunlop at around 3k because of a nail I picked up. You never know. Plus I average around 5-6K due to a lot of 2 up riding with my fiance. Never know...

Been reading on tire life, and I noticed numbers all all over the place, even for the same stock Dunlop tire. I think our best bet is to rely on the wear bar indicator.

For those who may not know where to find it, look on the tire sidewall for a triangle. Follow the triange horizontally to the wear bar. If the tire is new, the bar is hard to see, since its in between the threads. If your tire is old... The wear bar may look like part of your tread design. Be careful, it may be hard to find.

I've seen ranges from 3.5k to 15k on the front tire. I cant imaging how someone gets 15k on a front tire. Maybe the weight of the bike makes a different. On my fatboy lo (2012), I've got 5.5K on it. It's really bad, I should of changed it 1k miles ago.

Please just rely on the wear indicators, not the average miles of others.

I agree with you on the wear bar, but I won't go below 2/32. FYI, I got 14k on a 16" front tire (softail) with the stock Dunlops and 14k on the front and rear tire (CVO Ultra) on the stock Dunlops. The current Michelin Commander 2s will go at least that far. On the other end, I only got 5k on ME880s (21" front and 18" rear). Big variation. Ron

This is almost 26,000 miles on a stock Dunlop front tire, and it's not down to the wear bars yet. More than 2/32 left.

I get about 20k on the 401 front tire. I ride mostly over 60 mph. I get 6k-7k-ish on a 401 rear, but I run them pretty far down. On a 402 I've gotten 11.5k, but again I ran it to the point it was almost slick. I now have an American Elite on the rear and I'm hoping to get around 15k on it. I've heard nothing but good on them, so we'll see how far it runs..

The mileage you get depends on how you ride your bike and at what speeds. On the rear tire, if you run 70+ you might as well take a belt sander to it. Those kind of speeds eat them up.
