Tail Bone PIA

Tail Bone PIA
After about 3 to 4 hours in the saddle I get a rather sharp PIA, and I do mean a seriously sharp Tail Bone pain. I have tried the Stock Seat, the Stock Seat with Sheep Skin Cover, and presently a Mustang Wide Touring Saddle with and without the Sheep Skin. Best so far has been the stock seat with the Sheep Skin. But even that's not a real good answer after about 4 hours. I'd love to know if you have any suggestions such as repositioning the bars or any other adjustments short of having the seat recut that have worked for you. I'd be much obliged.
BTW, Sorry for the double post (also in General Chat) . . . but then thought answers other than in the Softail forum might not apply to me.

The heritage seat is probably the most comfortable of the stock seats. The Mustang seat is money wasted but many are high on them. I have had good results by installing 1/2 inch gel with 1/2 inch memory foam on top of the gel. Easy to do yourself and it makes a world of difference after 3 or 4 hours. You can try moving your bars but that may just create a pain somewhere else. If the pain is in your tailbones you need to soften it up there.
