Question oil leak need help

my 2000 fatboy is leaking through the stator plug i know they leak a little the older they get but this rediculous. It was leaking enough to cover the whole bottom of my engine with oil. I washed it off, wiped it dry and rode it again so i know this is where its coming from. An indie friend of mine said that i may have simply over filled my primary but i used a whole quart (32 oz) just like my clymer said to. Any help? cause i have the primary cover off and im getting ready to spend another 200 in tools not to mention parts tomorrow so i can do the stator myself.

1st of all you overfilled your primary. It takes up to 26 ounces. And what tools are you spending $200 on? You only need a socket for the compensator and a wedge for the chain. I'd ask the Indy if he has another stator you could grab the plug off of and try that.

I believe if it ain't broke don't fix it. So no on the stator....My 98 Fatboy still running the original stator. Yes, mine leaks out the plug...Somewhere on here there is an easy fix with another seal arount the plug... do a search. If it leaks a little don't worry about it ride it like you stole it.

I have this same problem also. I'd tried using RTV (red) to seal the leak. But still leaked. I've went to Home Depot and purchase Plasti dip spray and it's been 2 weeks with no leaks. I drive my '06 Road King Classic daily for 2 hrs @ 60 miles per day. So far this stuff really works. Oh yeah, I only pay $7 big ones.
