Thanks for the thoughts. I am in no rush, so I will wait until I find a steal on something nice.

Be happy to hear from anyone who has had one or any other similar bikes I haven't considered. Thanks.

Can't make a comment on service or parts but I got buddies with big dogs and one guys got a black Texas Chopper. The AIH bike rides alot nicer.

I own a Thunder Mountain Keystone. Highly, highly recommend this. Rides smooth, all HD parts, easy to work on, easy to clean, and runs flawless. The balance on this thing is unreal - it wants to stand upright. I had a ‘06 Big Dog Mastiff that looked amazing, but it was not balanced. It was difficult to ride, and I always felt unsafe. Plus you have to weigh the cleaning factor. Most choppers are made with polished aluminum. Nice, but hard to keep clean. I would polish mine up for hours with Never Dull and I could get it to look like chrome. One ride and I’m back to the dull aluminum look. Thunder Mountain Choppers are HD parts – all chrome. A little Windex and you’re done! So shiny you need shades just to look at it!

Thunder Mountain – you won’t regret it!

a friend of mine built one of the Big Bear Choppers Venom kits.. it's a really nice bike, but he says the biggest drawbacks are that it's not entirely comfortable for anything longer than an hour of riding, and cornering is very difficult.. i think he has like a 4" primary belt, and i know he has a 250mm rear tire..
