Default Heartland question (Rocker)

I have been kicking around the idea of getting the Heartland kit for my Rocker. It is a pretty big purchase for me, considering the cost (with paint and all). My question is...Do I need to purchase air shocks to get the fender at the right height, after Heartland install? I currently have my bike lowered with lowering bolts installed in the stock shocks. Will they be sufficient?
I can't afford to spend $2500 on the Heartland kit and another $1000 on air shocks. If that is the case, then I will just forget the idea of getting the Heartland kit.

I have the heartland kit on mine with the lowering bolts installed on the shocks and it looks good. U can see about 1.5 inches of tire and it rides ok at that height every once in a while I hit a bump that felt like my *** broke in half but no big deal. How ever I am going with shotgun air ride because I want to ride 2 up sometimes and ill be able to tuck rim when I slam the rear.

If I was going to convert to a Heartland kit, I'd go with either the 28" or the 32" with built-in license bracket.

If you look at the pictures they post at HL, the 28" and 32' are at stock height and don't look like a moto-cross clearance tire/fender wise. The shorter fender pictures show the bike lowered.

Plus, many have stated the shorter fenders might look better but don't expect to stay dry driving through water. The shorter fenders sling the water on your back.

Of course you could get the 2-up seat for $950 and have mama wear a rainsuit to protect your back...

I think you should be fine, maybe consider adding a 260 tire on the stock wheel.

Here's a pic of blicious's rocker with lowering bolts and a 260 tire and 28" fender.

This is mine with the shortest HL fender(20inches), stock wheel and tire.
However I do have shotguns on. I gotta agree with Kowan, with this fender, it seems like I don't have a fender at all....but it looks COOL!...LOL

When I ride 2up I have had no issues with bolts, I do have the longer fender with tail light which hides the gap

If I wasn't wasn't worried about the police attention here I probably would have gone with the shorty one like Jo's
