Ive seen pics and youtube videos of this done, so i know its possible... i want to put a 22" front wheel on my CrossBones, and in order to do so, i have to delete the stupid little front fender bracket somehow... not as easy as it sounds... its connected to the brake caliper on one side, and the axle on the other side, i cant just toss it out... but there must be a way to do it... anyone know how? check out this youtube vid from Harley of Tampa... somewhere there built this Bones, so it CAN be done....
thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lXWulCfrSg&feature=fvsr
I just took my front fender of last week, its easy to do.
Are you planning on running a front brake? both brackets have axle spacer that you need
to keep you hub straight.
The chrome bracket I ground off the long stem and had it powder coated black and
re-installed....
any other questions let me know

ok, i gotcha on the non-brake size.... just grind the long rod stem part off the chrome bracket and then keep the circle part and reinstall on the axle... what am i doing on the side with the brake? I def need to keep my front brake! if you have some pics of the brake/rotor side, and can email them to me so i can see exactly what you did, that would be appreciated.... that stupid fender bracket thing is useless! thanks man
re-use the brake caliper bracket as it came off.
only modification you need to do is just the long chrome bracket.
Make sure to paint the chrome after you grind it down, it will rust
Ill get some pics asap
thanks man, i appreciate it. im clear on the non-brake side, and what to do with the chrome rod part... its just the brake caliper side im confused on... the caliper screws into the fender bracket in 2 spots, so im unclear what to do right there... pics would be awesome, thanks. u can email me at mjhammill76@yahoo.com
on the brake caliper side, I removed the fender completely. then reinstalled the bracket using a new bolt/nut combo.
was very simple to do.
In the pics you'll see the spacer and bracket positions.
if you need anything else let me know
