I heard the softail engine has cb's that cause some oiling issues.. what years and can this be resolved?

 

You need to quit listening to those voices....

 

That's a crock....

 

In the 5 years I've owned my Softail, I've never read about that problem on any of the forums.

yeah - that's why there are so many soft tails on the road, with milions of miles on them.....

how would the two even be connected? If there was a failure of one of the brgs and excessive play occured to lose oil pressure, that was not a fault of counter balance shafts, but a simple mechanical failure, to which any oil fed part could cause the same problem. counter balance shafts do nothing more than make the engine run smoother, and for it to lose a couple hundred rpms at the top, work great, for the most part. are very trouble free, and are the object of countless myths!!

 

Whoever you heard that from, never listen to them again EVER!

 

I also heard that the moon was made of cheese.
