I got a guy sniffing around my bike, he's in love and he has money!!! asking 24k he didn't blink!! good cash for todays market, but I'm not really sure I am ready for separation! I do have my road glide that I love , and I'm only losing around 40k!! what a deal!! looking for sound advise (wrong place for that? LOL) not set in stone, at this time anyway, but input is welcome, as always I expect the smart *** ones as I would be saying something profoundly smartass as well!!
man that bike is gorgous....
are you gonna get another bike to build up, im sure thats at least half the reason for considering it, cuz i dont see much more that you can do to this one being that its perfect.
are you married? if you are your wife is gonna kill ya if you do another one, but that may be the reason your doin it also haha.
which everway you go goodluck man
Well first off thanks for the compliments! Yes I am married, but I haven't talked to my wife in about six months....I didn't want to interrupt her!!! I have a 09 se road glide, arrestme orange, that I have already started to play with. I don't need to sell the deuce, and I could paint my bike pink and she wouldn't notice, but I am riding it less and less, and the road glide more. It's easier to ride, got bags, got cruise, its stink fast, (I did the motor up pretty good!) Its not the deuce though, My heart and soul went into making this bike as elegant as I could imagine, the bagger is not that kind of a bike, and I don't think I'd do a bike like this again. maybe a pan, restoration project kinda thing. 24k could get me a nice one right off the bat
not including hundreds of hours, so much there that doesnt show. you can look at this bike for 20 minutes and I can point something out, that you never even saw or thought about. it's won easyriders show, moto expo show been in 5 mags, its way over the top and it really doesn't show it. UNDERSTATED elegance, is what I call it. I'm not bs'in anybody here it really is an amazing bike, as with all bikes looks much better in person
al the lettering is 22ct hand cut gold leaf as well at the stripes down the sides, on the seat, that's inlaid stingray with gold leaf paint on it, I did everything but the paint, found out you gotta have talent for paint and ****!!
Not to steal your thread, but I understand where you're coming from. I have a couple of guys who are interested in my Softail. I really don't WANT to sell it, but I REALLY want a bagger, and the wifey-poo says that I can't have 2 bikes. I'm going to lose my @$$ on this bike, but oh well.....I didn't buy it as an "investment." I bought it to enjoy.....and I've enjoyed customizing it. I guess I feel like the project is over, and it's time for another one....but I HATE to see it go- I've put my heart and soul into this ride.
