Freight Train Nacelle and Carlini Hi Roller Risers?
Hey everyone. Just got my 1st HD about a month ago and got a serious customizing bug from everyone here on the forums.
I now have a set of 16" Carlini gangsta apes (1.5") on along with the hi roller risers. I also bought the HD freight train nacelle. Has anyone installed both together?
I thought I read somewhere before that it would take a slight mod to make it work but my installer says it's some heavy modification and won't/can't do it. Looking for anyone that has had experience installing the nacelle with the hi roller risers.
Help! I don't want to get rid of any of it but if I did would changing the risers be the way to go?
You have to trim the nacelle halves to fit around the risers. Also the riser cover will not fit over the high rollers.Which leaves a void in the rear that looks unfinished. But cycle visions makes a cover up piece to fit that void its like 70.00.Most also have to trim the light bar mounting tabs to fit.Forum member Draw Down is the only one I know of who is running the Nacelle with 1.5 Gangsters and the high rollers. Hope this helps.
That nacelle has a chrome "cap" that covers the risers...that I am sure will not work with anything but Harley risers. Without the cap the nacelle has an unfinished look to it...and Harley risers will not work with the 1.5 bars. I can understand why your installer doesn't want to touch it...Good Luck
Sounds like using a different set risers is going to the trick. If I can't return the risers, looks like I might have a set of hi roller risers for sale soon.
