Default Risers for apehangers

Alright, I'm about to purchase some Wild1 16" apes for my night train. The question I have is what risers is everyone using? I know the stock risers aren't going to work. I'm thinking a 2" riser should be good, but i'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated...links are always great too. I tried searching but i'm finding more threads with pics of apes, but nothing saying what combo was using.

Thanks,
PT

Greetings,

When I ran the same bars on my Rocker C I used the Drag Specialties 2" riser with a factory Harley top clamp identical to what's on the Night Train. Those risers were great...No issues at all. Make sure you get poly bushings to. Well worth the extra money.

I have WO525 risers (1.5") with the smooth WO535 one piece clamp. For my 18s. Very stout and clean looking.

edit: As Jason said... poly bushing with the new risers are a MUST!

Default HCC 18" ape hanger install

I'm just wrapping up my install of a pair of 18" HCC apes on a 08 Heritage and read this thread about NOT being able to use the stock risers. My install seems to be going fine with the stock risers.....do I have a bad surprise waiting for me? Was I suppose to change out the risers?

I didn't feel like spending a ton of money on risers. I bought some $25 2" risers (posts only) from Debix.com. I just used the stock top clamp and everything worked out fine. I did have to go to the hardware store and buy 1" bolts (instead of 1 1/4") because the risers I bought don't have holes for the bolt to come out the bottom. Everything worked out good and I spent about $30ish.
