Default deuce headlight bucket
after my headlight bucket is tighten if I lift from the bottom the bucket raises then and when I let go it falls back into the spot where I set it. Is this normal or should it be mounted solidly with no movement what so ever. thanks

My headlight bucket flexes in the mount. I never had to adjust it since it was new.

ok, that's what mines does. Ever since I installed the led headlamp it doesn't want to stay. I've tried threadlock tape, lock washer with stock acorn nut and now Ive got a lockwasher with a hold tight nut.

Mine does the same thing. It won't stay adjusted and I have to pull the light up a couple times a week to keep it adjusted. The whole bucket isn't moving, it's the flexible mounts that's moving or bending. I guess I'll have to pull the headlight out and see whats going on inside. I thought I had bad steering stem bearings becuase I was hearing a clunk, but I think it's the head light bucket is hitting the triple clamp.

Check the 3 rubber mounts inside the shell. I had to replace mine not long ago.

When you replaced yours was the bulb moving inside the shell or more like my problem, the whole shell moving out of alignment.

My whole shell danced all over the place. I found the rubber insolators were shreaded.

I will try to look at it better to explain after work tonight.

just took the headlamp bulb off and from what I can see the 3 rubber mounts look brand new.
