Default exhaust help please

I'm in the market for new exhaust, I love the look of true duals, but my buddies keep telling me you lose torque and power, what's the real story any info appreciated, thank for the help

It would help to know what you are riding and what exhaust you are running now. As a general rule, true duals will hurt low end torque, particularly in motors with displacement less than 107"; they work better on larger displacement motors.. D&D and Thunderheader both offer 2:1 systems with a "ghost" pipe for the left (clutch) side to maintain the dual look but provide the low end torque of a 2:1 system.

Exhaust is going on a 2011 fatboy lo 96 in.

D&D only offers the ghost pipe for baggers. Take your time and decide what is more important to you. I just switched from a 2 into 1 to true duals adn the power difference was barely noticeable. I run Samson 36" fishtails.
