Default Anto-seize or Loctite

Hi all: I am replacing the stock bolts on my 2008 FLSTF motor with Stainless Steel. The kit I purchased recommends using anti-seize for stainless but that blue Loctite would be OK too. I started using anti-seize but it just does not seem right to use it on motor bolts (even though they are just holding covers in place).

So should I switch over to using Loctite? If so, should I remove the bolts I have installed (Cam Cover only), clean the threads and then reinstall with Loctite?

Thanks much, Chris.

I use Anti - Seize is used when you want to be able to remove a bolt with out worrying about pulling thread out next time you need to remove the bolt . I also use Anti-Seize when the metals are two different type Stainless Steel / Aluminium it helps prevent electrolysis . Loctite actually is made to keep bolts tight and depending on what color you use determines that.

Blue Loctite on a Harley is the only way for me. It will keep the bolts from seizing when you need to take it out but will prevent them from vibrating out by themselves.

Thanks for the input. My quandary is I have two competing issues. On the one hand I have two dissimilar metals, SS and Al, so anti-seize would be preferred. On the other hand I have a V-twin that tends to vibrate, so maybe Loctite would be better.
