Default Springer Saddlebags For Deluxes with Stock pipes

Hi All,

I have had a lot of riders asking me to produce a smaller saddlebag for Deluxe owners that have stock pipes. I came up with this bag and I'm looking for feedback as usual. This bag is about 12x21x7 inches. It can also be lowered to reduce the gap for those of you that have pipes the are lower than stock but not as low as duals.

I think it looks great, but I think a shot of them from a little further away would be helpful. You know, kinda gotta see how they flow.

From one Master leather craftsman to another - nice bag. Since your looking for feedback, I'll give you a few suggestions. First, use the smaller basketweave tool that is the same patteren as the seat. I know you can cover more ground quicker with the bigger one, but the smaller one looks better. Next, inlay the basketweave section and sew it to the perimeter like they did on the seat, and put the hand braiding on the lid edge. Then you will have a bag that really matches the seat, like this...

We have been making them like this since 2006 and have sold hundreds of them, and I'm sure you would sell more bags if you matched the seat a little closer.

Keep ridin'

Thanks, we offer our bags both ways and are using the same tool you are for the basket weaving of our bags. Our customers drive how we offer our products. thats why we're selling bags as fast as we can make them...Thank for your imput, from one Saddlemaker to a Master Leather Craftman...

As far as more pictures. We will be posting them soon. I want to shoot them on a bike with stock pipes first. I have converted to duals so there would be too much gap...Thanks guys....

Mike

Default Bags

You both make great looking bags. I would love to have a set on my 01 Fatty (turn signals have been relocated). Stock bags with quick detach are to small. Running V&H BS Longs. Your both way out of my price range. So if you want someone to "test" your sweet *** bags I would be happy to do so.
