I like the products from LaRosa. I am looking at their swing arm bags. So far they have been quick to respond to all my questions. Looking for their bags with the fuel canister in a leather color that will match the HD brown springer seat that I have in my bike.
But first trying to score a factory mounting bracket so that the bag does not sag... This is where HD did a lot better than the aftermarket by providing a much better support for their bag.
If I can't get the stock mount, I will try to make one. There is a fellow Sporster owner that made one following the design from HD. Came out great.
Anyway, IF I can't find the bag in the leather to match the seat, I might just go with HD's bag in black since their other color does not match squat with their seat ...
So my questions:
1. Has anyone attached a LaRosa Fuel Canister to the stock HD bag? If so, any photos that you can share?
2. Anyone with a Rustic Brown bag from LaRosa that can share photos to see if it is at least close to the brown color from the HD springer seat?
Had mine for a couple of months. They look great but may be starting to sag a bit. These pics were taken shortly after they were installed so they still look nice and stiff. Take note that these bags are really limited in their storage capacity. These are the Antique Shedron style. I think I saved a few bucks buying new on Ebay.
Sorry, I don't know how to embed images. I just included a few attachments. Let me know if you can't see them.

I have a La Rosa saddle bag if you want to take a look at it in person. Mine is black but I love it. they couldve did better with a couple things though. What do you want the canister for? I have 2 fuel canisters that I was going to take on long rides since i have a 48 also. but my bike pretty much takes me everywhere I need to go... Cocoa, Ormand beach, Daytona and Leesburg. It got me all the way there. But... I guess theyre good to have lol
Ever notice how the bag resembles a holster...? They also make an insert for the bag with attachment straps designed to hold an automatic and a spare clip. Maybe the insert will help maintain the shape of the bag?

Thank you!
Wish they had some distributor closed by that where I could see the color of the leather. I am going to email them again to see if they can send me a leather sample...

I want the canister for fuel... in case of any emergency. That is the justification I keep telling myself and to the wife But the real reason...because it looks cool! imho of course, lol.
They are made in San Leandro, CA. They sell direct and also through a few distributors on Ebay. I went for the canister for the same reason. Small gas tank on my sporty. I haven't used it yet. Even though I fill up almost every other day its just local riding. Probably fill it up when I start taking longer trips. I just think it looks great.
This pic should give you a really good idea of the shade of the Antique Shedron style...

They sent me an email saying that the color closer to the seat is the rustic brown... but I have to tell you, I can't find two pictures that look the same... difficult to tell from the photos I have seen so far.
The closest leather we have is
PRSBL06BH, and PRSBR06BH and TB06. Its difficult to match leather unless you make
it from the same hide at the same time, but this is what you would be looking
at.
The seat you have is an OE Harley seat.
Harley does not use Matching hides of any of their solo spring
seats.
