I have an 05 softail nightrain. It still has the factory HD seat. I am 6'2" and want more leg room. I put on the Kurayakn 3 1/4 extended forward control kit. I need advice on a seat that will put me back and lower to get a little more stretched out leg room.

if you go lower, you won't really get more leg room. Actually, in some cases less. A lower seat will move your rear end down which will decrease the room your legs have between the controls and the seat. The Night train has the badlander. I don't know that there are too many seats that will move you down and back too much more than that. Contact mean city cycles, they are a sponsor here and they specialize in modifying stock seats to move you back and down, but do it in a way that doesn't compromise comfort....
I would like a 2 up. I sat on a friends bike lastnight. He has 2" forward controls and a Santee seat. I fit good on the bike. The Santee seat may be my choice. I just want some advice before a purchase.
I'm stuck on Corbin seats.Over the years they have always fit the best.I run a gunfighter and lady for 2 up.Sits me back as far as the C+C did but offered way more back support.I'm only 6-0 with long legs.Run the Ness forwards plates and am all day comfortable with this set up. I tried Mustang,C+C,and a Saddleman on this bike and ended up with 2 more Corbins.First thing I did was send my Badlander to Mean City for memory foam and some reshaping to sit me back another 1".He did a real nice job with the seat but it just didn't fit me.After 200 miles it went back in the box and has set there for 5 years.Seats and bars are the 2 biggest problems to overcome to be comfortable.Everybodies different so all's we can do is offer you our experiences.
Where ya from Biketoberfest is coming and all the seat mfg's are there.Mustang always has a test mule there to fit their seats to so you can get a feel.Corbin is just down the road..Just a thought.
