Default 2007 Fatboy tire

What is a good brand of tire for the 2007 FatBoy that lasts longer. I have just under 7000 km.(4200 miles) and the tire is pretty much done.

A lot of guys here prefer the Avon tires for longer wear and a better ride. A few are going to the perelli night dragons. I have always had good luck with Metzlers.

I've read that the D401 which is used stock on the XBones lasts a bit longer and is cheaper than the D407's on the Fatboy,

That's the ticket. That's what I run and get 10k out of them. I got 7k out of the 407.

First off what end are you talking about front or rear .... secondly it dont matter what type of rubber you have up to a point ..... because it's how you ride it that dictates the wear factor like brake pads you ride on your brakes all the time the pads wear faster same principle with tyres abuse em and they wear out faster ..... bottom line don't matter what when their low and dangerous change em! ... PS got 9,000 off my front and 8,5oo off the rear

My 407 went 10k and now thw avons have 8k on them and still going strong. Tire wear and choice is up to you, some will get more than you and some will get less. I just like the avons cause they stick better

I put the metzler me880 on my 07. the jury is still out on mileage since i've only put about 1500 on it since the replacement. I can say it made a world of difference on how the bike handles..

from what i have read, the 200mm tire life is a lot shorter then a narrower tire. It doesn't make sense to me, but thats how it is.
