Man I have searched the Internet over and over and cannot locate a chrome rear fender bib. IMO I think this would look awesome even if it had leather around the outer edge.
Has anyone ever seen one or maybe recommend where one might find one?
Additionally if any one has a end cap for Vance and Hines Long Shots (dragged mine and lost it) please let me know.
Just get a thin sheet of stainless. You can get some thick to thin gauge depending how want it.
Cut it to shape. Drill holes for the leather edge to be laced on and then polish it up. Add the leather edge to it.
Shiny as chrome and no rusting where the leather will hold moisture.
If you wanted to get really fancy, take it to a trophy shop and have them etch something on it.
Nick,
That is exactly what I am looking for. Were you able to buy just the Bib or did you have to buy the whole seat?
I mocked one up last night with Cardboard and Aluminum foil just to get a look but with out the outer leather like what is on yours and a slimmer Chrome insert it is to gaudy IMO.
Here are some pic's of the mock up and like i said its too much for me.
Sorry phone camera.
I have one for sale and stumbled across your post in search results. Have one for sale, black leather around edges and chrome in middle just like the brown one above.
