So the hurricane has got me locked up and thinking about winter mods (seeing I can't ride in a Hurricane, or shouldn't)

I'm just looking for some ideas from you guys. Thinking a Bare Bones to start with, and for now no hard bags (don't like them, but didn't like fairings either)

Here's where I stand now

this is the only pic I have from this side, just missing the fairing and 18" up front. The boat behind it is the biggest yacht in the world

Stay safe in the winds!

A 1.5" tank lift would get the line of the tank flowing with the seat better, would also show all that hidden chrome on your rocker covers.

It's an ez, inexpensive high impact mod-

To give you an idea-

We're waiting on Irene too, beer supply is well stocked, got a new quarter yesterday. If I were you, but I'm not, I'd be moving onto engine performance upgrades because your bike already looks good. Go to 103 or 107 cubic inches, install a cam that suits your riding style, basic port and valve job on the heads or more head work if budget permits, TTS tuner and then let the real fun begin. If you're into wrenchin', it's a job that can be handled if you have a decent tool chest, a service manual and some patience and common sense.Lots of down time over the winter, especially where you live.

IMHO, take off the rear reflectors, change out your rotors, HD pulley cover, Id get rid of the football for a Big sucker, But Im partial lol, and paint your Frame bolts BLACK, it will make your chrome POP more. The ones under your exhaust and floor boards.

So lets see, rotors SS polished($125), pulley cover($50), painting frame bolts($10), so for around $185 you could do a couple of small mods that would add a little extra in looks. JMHO Kozy OH and maybe get a chrome kit from Hot Topics, but they are kinda expensive, and one more thing you could change out your wheel spacers for some chrome ones, since you got the SWEET 18INCHER up front. lol

Thanks for the ideas.

I think I'm going with a round air filter, and Bare Bones first.

Does anyone know if the bare bones will fit with a fuelpak mounted against the fender, and will the stock passenger pillion work with it.

The stock passenger pillion works with the Bare Bones on my '11 Deluxe. It just looks weird, and the passenger sits a lot higher than you (compared to stock seat + stock pillion).
