Has anybody tried to convert a Street Glide's left side switch housing to fit a Fatboy? The Street Glide has 1" bars and the Fatboy has 1.25" bars so this would involve making the Glide's housing 1/4" larger.
I'm looking to do this as I want to use the Glide's volume control for a speaker setup. This is preferable to a bar mounted rotary volume controlled **** and would be a much cleaner setup.
Also, I don't want to change out my bars so that is not an option.
I would guess that your bars slim down to 1" where the controls go so the housings both have the same diameter. Remove your switch housing and clutch perch from the bars and take a look.

I checked and thats correct...problem solved.
Now to see if that Street Glide volume switch can be used to replace a rotary volume switch.
