07 deluxe mufflers slim pickins
Wifes 07 deluxe came in yesterday, nice bike. it sounds like a Honda... even with the so called new exhaust. dealer had another deluxe in shop with new SE slipons, it sounded almost the same. dealer said there is no muffler options for the 07s due to epa. come on someone has to make a slipon that sounds like a harley. She loves the look of the shotgun style on the bike so a complete system is out. dose Rush or Cycle shack make slipons for the 07s? anyone running these?

If all you want to do is change the mufflers I would think any that fit 06 will fit the 07. Only difference is the headpipes have O2 sensors in them. Go to Rush site and see what they have out. I think some of the dealers are afraid to change mufflers cause of the EPA rules.

I put cycle shack slipons 2 weeks after getting my 07 Deluxe. They sound great but I'm getting ready to replace them with a complete V & H Big Shot Staggered system. I got tired of my wife burning her boots. If you look you'll see the rear pegs are right between the upper & lower pipes on a Deluxe, The new V & H system will place both pipes below the pegs. Re the Cycle Shack slipons, the only ones that will work with the Deluxe are the ones shown in the pic below. The slash cuts won't line up right (we tried). BTW, the slipons were pretty cheap, around $170 if I remember right, and you won't have to change the ECM settings.

Hub and I know what you mean about slim pickens. He has a 06 Deluxe and we got a used 05 Deluxe for me. My bike is carb not injected and sounds a lot better than his does ( and he isn't any too happy with that) and we can't seem to find much to fix the situation. I'll have to have him check out the sites mentioned here and see if he can find anything!

A dealer in Long Island has new 07 bikes on the show room floor with Vance and Hines pipes. They drill the pipe and weld a bung in to accept the screw in oxygen sensor. It is done on the back of the pipe near the head.
