With the 255 cam you are probably not going to get much, if any increase in HP or TQ. This cam is essentially a bolt in EPA cam, just a little hotter than stock.
The thing with cams is that you have to figure out how you want the motor to run.
Do you want a cam that comes on early, in the mid range or towards the upper range.
Your going to want the heads and compression ratio set up for the cam your going to run. A mild street port job will run $250-$350 a full-on CNC port job will run you $900+. Alot of the milder cams actually run worse with head work. Depending on the cam your running there can be alot of HP & TQ to can from a port job, we're talking 10-15 increase for both.
The best thing to do is talk to some of the engine builders that frequent these forums ie: GMR, Head Quarters, Hillside, Big Boyz, and the other couple of hundred head porters / buiders out there. They can get you straightened out.
If you want to pay for the name, like Tman, yeah. There are some real good machine shops that will give you the same flow numbers for a couple of hundred less. WFO Larry (Larry's Motorcycle and Machine, Inc) and Dwight Barry (Syke Performance) just to name a couple.
