I'm trying to get some cables(clutch, throttle etc) to suit a set of 16" apes on a 2006 Fat Boy, tried Burly but they say they don't make a kit for my bike, on their website they list a kit for a FLST(Heritage) and I thought isn't that basically the same bike? checking other sites no-one seems to list an FLSTFi so but most have FLST which again leads me to think they are the same and will fit...anyone able to confirm this or suggest an alternative supplier?
Much Gratitude
The kit for the heritage should fit. The bikes are almost exactly the same. Be aware that the clutch cables in the Burly kits are well known to be extremely stiff. Many people have had to use massive amounts of lube to get them to operate smoothly.
Checked into the Burly, the clutch cable is teflon coated, the others are not. First I heard about being stiff - good to know. Have no idea if more expensive cable sets use teflon cables for the throttle and idle cables. Dont know if that is a big deal, not a lot of stress on those cables.
