Since when does an aftermarket seat void a warranty?
LMAO!!!!!! I was thinking the same thing. Exhuast's are aftermarket, some fuel management systems are aftermarket, some tires are aftermarket. These things won't void your warranty if they are installed correctly.
I don't understand why you are having such a hard time. A quick look at the HD site shows a few items for setting your bike up for 2. All of these will work on your 2012.
2011 parts and accessories won't fit a 2012. We've already been to the dealer several times
Actually Iceman...they do... the bike is identical... my ole man works at dealership...and they have a 12 on the floor that they have several parts from the 11 on it... so not sure where you went...don't know what part of the state your in..I am in Birmingham. Aftermarket seats wont void warranties at all... neither does exhaust, intakes, and others.....Any Softail exhaust for fatboy or the my11 Blackline will go on..same with intakes...
If your interested in someone local to make u a seat..and do a great job let me know..ill put you in touch with the person that is doing my solo seat. For that matter..He can take your 2up and use the bottom structure and pillion and recover using memory foam or other material and make that rear seat very comfortable for your 2up person.
Plenty of stuff will be available or can be made. As for warranties there are laws stating that you cant void a warranty based on said part unless it causes the additional damage.
Trust me you can do plenty to that bike and will have more options soon. The key problem here is your dealer.
My bike should be done in a few days minus the wheels which are being made and will follow in about 2 more weeks. Pics will go up as soon as she is taking me across some pavement : )
One of my goals was not to put any HD aftermarket parts on.
Where I've failed so far:
HD black grip levers
HD black cam cover
Black Diamond gas cap
HD derby cover (which will get changed to a custom one later ..)
SERT
Intake, exhaust, seat, plate holder, mirrors, swingarm and tool bags are all aftermarket.
Took a 3M Scotchbrite to the oil cap, to give it a brushed look. Will do something like that to the foot brake and gear shift levers, or powder coat them black.

1. aftermarket does NOT void warranty by default
2. 2011 and 2012 are identical, save for the 96-103 difference. Seats/Shields/Grips/etc.. all fit just fine.
3. Get a new dealer/salesperson
Dude others have said it but CHANGING the seat will not void your warranty. Take a deep breath , relax get some info on here as well as on the web and I am sure you will be fine and in a much better mood.
For whatever reason (in stock, money etc) your dealership is not giving you the correct info .
We offer many accessories for the Blackline! As well as a 200mm rear tire conversion and a 250mm rear tire conversion. If you want to get rid of that skinny tire, let Heartland hook you up!!!
