Default Head Shark what am I missing here????

After I swapped my bars out last year I got just a little head shake around 60mph but not bad and I was able to live with it Don't know why). I took my bike in for a new rear tire last weekend mounted and ballanced and now the head shake is worse in the bars. I would say from 30mph and up. If I loosen my grip just a bit I think the bike would go crazy down the road.
I called the dealer about the head bearring maybe being the problem ( no relation to a tire being mounted- I KNOW) and was told that since I did not do a 1000 mile service I was out of luck and would have to pay the shop rate for the job.
Anyone have any ideas on what I may be missing here???? Bike has 5700 miles.

If you have the shop manual, look up "fall away" adjustment. It's a test and procedure for adjusting the steering head bearings. If they're out of spec. you'll get head shake. And if you don't have a shop manual and do your own maintenance, you'll have to pay the "shop rate" quite often.

The Fix My Hog DVD series shows exactly how to do the fall away test. It seems pretty easy to do but you'll need to jack the bike up to get the front tire off the ground.

my bike just started doing the same thing right after I got the shop to put new tires on, I went out on the highway and at about 70mph it started to shake, took it back and they rebalanced and it didn't help, don't know what to do

Do you have vibration or headshake? Headshake is a left-right oscillation of the handlebars, most often felt when you lighten your grip on the handlebars or decelerate.

100% head shake. Left to right motion. I can't understand why a new tire would add to it. Two post above same thing with someone else. Tire pressures are good and tires were ballanced and weights still there on rims. There must be a reason between the head shake and tires but damn if I know.

its not vibration in the bars it feels almost like a speed wobble, its never happened before, once I got new tires it was there, doesn't make sense to me how it could be a bearing or something go at the exact same time as a tire swap

Why would you not get a 1000 mile service and put your warranty in jepordy?
