I will cut the wires if I have to. I started to work on the bike, figuring I would remove the stock rear signals and put the saddle bag hardware and bags on. I found out the wires for the signals rout through the hole where they were originally mounted, about an inch forward. This meant if I mounted the bags now I would have to remove the bags and the attaching hardware to get the fender struts far enough away from the fender to rout the wires for the new signals. I put everything back together the way it was until my new signals arrive next week. I did manage to get the 3 bolts on each fender strut loose. They were really tight with the loctite they used.
Do I understand correctly that all I have to do is remove the nut inside the fender behind the tail light to access the wire connections for the signals. I was thinking I had to remove the tail light.
