Boom Audio Windshield Mount 2008 Heritage, Will it work?
I've read on the V-Twin forum that a guy had a '08 Heritage and the windshield mount Harley Boom Audio went on with no problems, but the Harley
catalog says it only fits '09 and later............ Supposely it is due to a different size windshield on the later models, if this is the case, that is a simple fix to make this system work on my heritage.
Has anyone on here tried to install this system on a later model Heritage and had problems? Thanks for any input.
I've found over the years that the HD manual says lot's of things that aren't in fact true, if they were, half the mods in my 99 fatboy wouldn't be there on the bike... The handlebar (or crashbar mounted boom audio speakers) aren't supossed to fit my bike, go figure. Turned out that both systems, the windshield one and the one I got, fit my bike's year-model. I always double check about what the Harley catalog says, and most of the times I get away with the mods even when they say parts won't fit because of the 99-2000 major engineering changes. I'm sure the speakers fit your windshield, they fit mine.
Was wondering I have a 1996 heritage and they tell me there is a wiring issue and it won't fit can u help really want one then another said it can be done if u know what u are doing thanks
Was wondering if the Boom Audio Windshield mount would work on an '06 Heritage? Some have said that even though the specs say '09 and above that it might work. Would like to know for sure before shucking out $400.
