Default 255se Cams...4k+ RPMS Normal?

Now after breaking in the new 103 stage 2 kit (refer to my sig), I finally got to go past 3.5k rpms last week...and the bike starts to scream at 4k rpms. In 6th gear around 4k rpms it takes me 100 mph and fast...according to dealership 'feel free to take it up to 5 to 6k rpms'. I dont see why, I did and it sounded like it was over reving plus a slower accelartion. The slow acceleration I expected...I wanted the low end torque and is why I got the 255se cams. My question here is that anything over 4k+ on my set up worth throttling for? I hear and read info/experiences saying yes. Bike will go back in for final dyno...maybe after that the 4k+ rpm will feel better than it does now. Don't get me wrong..I absolutely love the low end torque...it's just the high rpms, I dont feel it as my impression was anything well over is normal riding.

Your experience or thoughts?

the cams tend to fall off quickly after 4k, they stop pulling as hard as on the bottom. If you like it is all that matters

Everybody says that, but my 255's pull hard everywhere. The tune will have alot to do with it.

+1 on what Joe said, the 255 yields very high torque at low rpms, you might "feel" it is falling off but it is really not. Publish the final tune numbers, I think you will be pleased.

This is the answer. Your bike shoudl be fine but due to the grind of the cams after 4k rpm's there is not much left with the 255's.

ATM it's what I expected and wanted....getting to 100 fast, and rest is gravy. And 4k does that. I guess it is deceiving after that when the big pull is over. And yes after final tune I will get the print out. Thanx folks...all seems more normal now.
