Default Need a little help

I have a 2011 Heritage and can not figure out how to get the nut off of the saddle bag rod. Every time you try and turn it, the whole bolt turns with the rubber bushing. Is there some kind of trick to it? I would like to be able to take my saddle bags off sometimes and don't want to break the bolt off. Here are some pics of what I'm talking about.

Get a pair of pliers or channellocks and grip the rubber grommet for backup. It'll twist some, but you should be able to break it loose. I would also invest in a couple of spares; they're under 5 bucks each and they will break at some point.
