I had a similar thing happen with my 06 would shake like crazy and everything was in spec. Put new grease into the neck and it took care of it. May want to try that. Cheap and easy.

Thx - I may try some grease, installed my 3rd rear tire yesterday, new Dunlop 205 and that help a lot. the front will get replaced in the spring. Only 12,500 on the Odo. these 200/55/17 OEM tires don't wear for Sh%t.
After reading this i decided to see if my new 2012 had this front end shimmy. Well it does but very minor and you wont notice unless your hands are off the bars and it only does it from 45-40 mph on decel. Not enough for me to worry about it. Hell it took me reading this to even wonder lol. Its got 1600 miles on it and i never knew until i took my hands off the bars.
Ya I wold like to know which dealer so I can stay the f away from them. I do my own work but ya never know when you might be out riding and have to go in for warranty work.
So.... the pinch bolt holding the right fork tube was MISSING. Cap loosened, sending oil everywhere. And causing the rattle. Took a WEEK to get another bolt from ANOTHER dealer. They also replaced the front tire under warranty due to improper wear pattern from the lopsided fork mounting. First test ride after they'd delivered it, and I have NO shimmy at any speed. Even 40-50 decel, no hands on the handlebars. Very stable feel now from my steering.
