Drag Specialties Laydown Taillight
Has any installed a Drag Specialties Laydown Taillight on an FXST with the bobtail fender? I can't tell if the laydown angle will match the fender angle or be perpendicular to it. It would be preferred to have the light match the angle, and have the window on the bottom for license plate illumination. As an example, the part number with no window is 2010-0427.
Typically the 'laydown" lights match the angle of the bobtail, but will generally protrude nearly as much as the stocker. If you want a more hidden look, go for a "low profile" light. Just got the new Kuryakyn one, p/n 5438. Much brighter and more visible than the old Kuryakyn I had on there, but protrudes about 1/2" past the fender whereas the old one was recessed about 1/4". Very easy install, just a plug and a gasket.
