Excellent choice! That's what I got, 2012 Denim Lo... waiting for the 1,000 mile check-up to add the new V&H 2-1 pipes. (I'm not a fan of how quiet the stock pipes are, especially while passing trucks.)
Congrats,
I traded in my 2010 Lo for the 2012 Lo and love it.
The only problem is they changed the ECM on it this year and there are no aftermarket ones (ie. V&H FuelPak / Dynojet Powercommander) out for them yet. Just the Screaming Eagle street tuner that costs an arm and a leg for the dealer to set up.
As far as pipes go they also put a new O2 sensor in them so the pipe manufactures are just comming out with them but very limited right now.
So that puts all the motor mods on hold till winter.
picked it up last friday got bout 200 miles on her over the weekend im thrilled with this machine .. zombiequest i couldnt agree more , i cant wait to put pipes on but i want black big radius and they wont be ready till dec hopefully.. way to quiet stock.
since we r on the topic of exhaust on my glide i had rush slipons and didnt need any air cleaner upgrade or fuel mange system or hd download and the bike ran great. can i run the big radius on the fat boy and thats it or maybe just air cleaner,, any suggestions??..really dont want a power commander or something like that im never gonna do motor work just the big radius if possible
With just an exhaust you will be fine with the stock set up. Just change out pipes and ride her and save the engine management for when you do the heavy upgrades. Now, if you get impatient you will need to find some kind of solution if you do pipes and intake.
