Hey guys, Good to be back. haven't been on here in a while, but thankfully that will change since I am no longer driving long haul.
I will be moving to Texas in January, and looked it up online, their handlebar law SUCKS, no more then 15 inches higher then the lowest part of the seat. according to my messurements, My apes are 12 inches too high. Any texas riders on here, how do you have your bikes set up. the onlything I can think of that would fit the look of my bike is T-bars, Blacked out of course. but the messurements only allow for 6 to 7 inches, that will take some getting used to, I love my ape's.
I just got 14" carlinis and with the risers they will be higher than 15" above the seat. Lived in texas for most my life, see people that have apes that would dwarf mine and never have I heard of anyone getting any flack for bars. Plus this is TX there is no such thing as not having a long haul to get anywhere. lol So if you like em I wouldnt even worry about it cause being comfertable is priority. just my $.02 Also, dont worry about inspections here, all they are is safty inspections so as long as your sled is about to blow up I dont see bars ever being an issue.

Thanks Guys, That's great to here. I will leave my bars just like they are. and it sounds like even if I get a D##K for an inspector I can change my bars back after I get the sticker and not worry about LEO's.
