Changing grips.. How hard?

Sound advice. This is an hour long job that turned into two because I had to find one of those little brass buggers that fell on the garage floor. I also broke the clutch interlock switch in the left switch housing while disassembling. I don't think you have one on your year but watch out for the same thing on the right side for your front brake. It's the same kind of switch for engaging the brake light when you pull the lever. You may have one of those.

If you can put gas in your bike without spilling too much you can do your grips. Just take your time like others said. Stuff gets broke when you rush or force it. And if you get stumped take a break with a beer or coke and come back to it later. Good luck!
