Default Key Problems

Hope someone can help. Today after I rode, I started to lock the ignition on my 96 Badboy and when I turned the key the inner cylinder came out with the key. I am able to put it back and turn it with alot of wiggling, but have to hold the cylinder rim down with my fingernail while I try to pull the key out so I can ride. Just wondering if anyone knows how to make it stay in there right. Thanks
